Book Rental Scheme

 

 

This year for the first time ever, children across Ireland will be receiving Free School Books & copies. The DES are providing €96 per child to enable schools to purchase these. 

Here in Coralstown N.S. we have always had a Book Rental Scheme so we will be  using this money to continue with our scheme and also to provide copies. While we commend the DES for the introduction of the free school book scheme and see

it as a big help for parents in this continuing cost of living crisis, we ask the DES to review the amount per child as it doesn’t cover the cost of providing everything for the children.  We would ask parents and guardians to ensure that books are kept clean and in good condition so that they may be reused again next year.
